If you require an appointment with our Clinical Specialist for a Comprehensive Clinical Assessment, Diagnostic Ultrasound Scan and / or you are considering an Ultrasound-Guided Injection, please book an ‘MSK Clinical Specialist Physiotherapy (includes Ultrasound Scan)’ Initial or follow-up consultation (as appropriate).
MSK Diagnostic Ultrasound Scanning is used by our MSK Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist, Gareth Tremain, to complement his detailed musculoskeletal clinical assessment. The scanner allows Gareth to visualise joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, bursae, fascia, joint capsule, and superficial nerves in real time during your appointment. This provides immediate information to support diagnosis and guide treatment.
Ultrasound-guided injections are a precise and effective treatment used to deliver medication directly to the source of pain or inflammation. By using ultrasound imaging, our physiotherapists can guide the injection to the exact location, ensuring the medication is delivered accurately and with minimal discomfort. This technique is often used for treating conditions such as joint pain, tendonitis, bursitis, and arthritis, providing relief from chronic pain and inflammation.
