The Independent Physiotherapy Service

Welcome to The Independent Physiotherapy Service (iPS), a dedicated provider of exceptional physiotherapy care for individuals and businesses. Established as a branch of The Independent General Practice (iGP) in 2008, iPS builds on iGP’s legacy of pioneering private healthcare, which began in 2004 as the first exclusively private GP service registered with Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW).

Our Journey and Expertise

Since its inception, iPS has steadily grown under the leadership of Gareth Tremain, who joined iGP to create a specialist physiotherapy service. Today, iPS operates across six premium treatment facilities in Bridgend, Cardiff City Centre, Cardiff Gate, Carmarthen, Newport and Porthcawl. Our team of highly experienced physiotherapists have an average of over 20 years of clinical expertise and supporting our expert physiotherapists is a team of skilled Physiotherapy Assistants and experienced administrators who ensure every patient receives personalised, high-quality care.

Our gyms are fitted with resistance machines, free weights, and cardio equipment to support personalised exercise programs, while balance and gait training devices are available to aid in neurological rehabilitation and fall prevention. Additionally, our use of ultrasound imaging ensures precision in guided injections and diagnostic assessments, allowing us to deliver accurate, targeted treatments for every patient.
